Mãe Terra Market – Ecology, Protection and Promotion of Rural Heritage

On 17 May 2026, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Salema Eco Camp will host the first edition of the Mãe Terra Market, a gathering dedicated to sustainability, biodiversity, and the preservation of rural heritage.

Organised by the A3PR – Association for the Protection and Promotion of Rural Heritage, this event invites the community to celebrate our connection with nature through the exchange and sale of seeds and fruit trees, themed workshops, live music, and inspiring moments of sharing and learning.

Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in activities related to seed propagation, handmade smudge stick creation, seed swapping, live performances, and a screening of the documentary “Seeds of Freedom”, followed by an open discussion and exchange of ideas.

Program:

  • 11:00 – Market Opening
  • 11h30 – 12h30 – Seed Propagation Workshop with Michael (Quinta da Atalaia)
  • 12h30 – 13h30 – Live Music with Jamie (World Music)
  • 14h30 – 15h30 – Smudge Sticks Workshop by Mystic Achemist (€5 per person | maximum 15 participants)
